About কী মিস করলাম!

What this is
কী মিস করলাম! (“What did I miss?”) is a reading tool for people in Bangladesh who don’t have time to follow the news all day. Instead of another endless feed, it tells you what changed since you were last here and lets you catch up in about two minutes.
What we add on top of the headlines
- Topics, not a pile of links. Reports about the same event from different outlets are grouped into one topic, so you see the story once.
- A short summary. Each topic gets a brief AI-written summary based on the linked reports. Summaries are labelled as AI-generated and always link back to the originals.
- Where outlets disagree. When sources make different claims about the same event, we show them side by side instead of picking one.
- Momentum. We track how quickly a topic is gaining coverage, so fast-moving stories surface before they’re everywhere.
- Your catch-up. A swipeable two-minute digest of what’s new since your last visit, and a weekly recap you can share.
- How well-corroborated a story is. Topics carry a source count, and anything still reported by only one outlet is marked so you can weigh it accordingly.
- Listen instead of read. Summaries can be read aloud — useful on the move or when reading Bengali script is slower for you than hearing it.
- Discussion. Signed-in readers can comment on a topic and see where others disagree or add context.
Where the reporting comes from
We do not write news. Headlines and short excerpts come from the public feeds and news sitemaps of Bangladeshi and international outlets (among them Prothom Alo, The Daily Star, Dhaka Tribune, Bangla Tribune, Jugantor, Ittefaq, Channel 24 and Ekattor TV), plus what is being watched and discussed on YouTube, Reddit, Mastodon and Google Trends, and earthquake alerts from USGS. Every topic links to the original reporting — please read the source for the full story. The full list, and how each is used, is in our editorial policy.
