Banks to remain open on Saturday, closed from 20-22 October for Durga Puja

- As per the Ministry of Public Administration’s directive, all scheduled banks in the country will remain closed from 20 to 22 October for Durga Puja.
- To balance the holiday schedule, banks will operate normally on Saturday, following the regular working hours.
- The decision was communicated through a circular signed by Bangladesh Bank’s Director (ESADI), Mohammad Abdul Mannan.
- To keep import-export operations running, banking services will be available on a limited basis at ports from 20 to 24 October.
- Bangladesh Bank stated that the directive was issued under Section 45 of the Banks Company Act, 1991, for public interest.

দুর্গাপূজার ছুটি সমন্বয়ের কারণে আগামীকাল শনিবার (১৭ অক্টোবর) সাপ্তাহিক ছুটির দিনেও দেশের সব সরকারি, আধা-সরকারি, স্বায়ত্তশাসিত, আধা-স্বায়ত্তশাসিত ও বেসরকারি অফিস খোলা থাকবে। একই সঙ্গে খোলা থাকবে সব তফসিলি ব্যাংক ও শেয়ারবাজারে স্বাভাবিক লেনদেন চলবে।

দুর্গাপূজার ছুটি সমন্বয়ের কারণে আগামীকাল শনিবার (১৭ অক্টোবর) সাপ্তাহিক ছুটির দিনেও ব্যাংক ও শেয়ারবাজারে স্বাভাবিক লেনদেন হবে। একই সঙ্গে সরকারি দফতরও খোলা থাকবে। বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক সম্প্রতি জারি করা এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে শনিবার ব্যাংক খোলা রাখার নির্দেশনা দিয়েছে।
